In the harrowing shadow of Covid-19, the United States has emerged as an unexpected front-runner, but in a grim race: the country counts the highest number of pandemic-related deaths. This stark reality challenges our perception of American healthcare and its capabilities. It’s a somber reality that in America, a nation celebrated for its technological prowess and advanced medical treatments, we’ve seen an unprecedented number of deaths. Each number represents a world of despair, a family torn asunder, a story ended abruptly. With such first-world advantages, why then did our loved ones seem more vulnerable within the very walls meant to be sanctuaries of healing—how did America, a first-world nation, allow its citizens to fall prey to such an extent?
When Hospitals Became Battlefields
Stories of inefficacy unfold, revealing a narrative that accentuates how first-world hospitals, thriving under the auspices of our tax dollars, became places where people walked in but were carried out in body bags. If resources weren't the issue, what led to this mass casualty within the walls designed to heal?
The Homeless Paradox
Compounding this is the paradox presented by the homeless: those without access to the very measures—masks, sanitizers, and secure shelter—we deemed essential for survival. Our streets, notably in New York—once referred to as ground zero—were bereft of these unfortunates succumbing to the virus en masse. How did our most vulnerable, seemingly left to fend for themselves, manage to elude the fate that so many hospitalized patients met?
A Personal Tragedy
The agony turns personal when my own daughter was caught in this unforgiving maelstrom. Fraudulently admitted to Northwell Health Hospital in Glen Cove, New York, she was subjected to what could only be described as a Hannibal Lecter killing. The white coat assassins. The 7 symptoms of Psychopaths GLIB, SUPERFICIAL, LACK, of REMORSE, GUILT, LACK of EMPATHY, DECEITFUL, and MANIPULATIVE. They wake up and do it again, and again….
In the depth of my despair, the knowledge that hospitals, doctors, and nurses should have been beacons of healing provides little solace. Instead, I KNOW her young life was trafficked in exchange for blood money—a harsh indictment on those who donned their white coats, not as healers, but as mercenary dealers of death. I was left to wonder—how many lives were gratuitously forfeited each day?
Chasing the Wrong Answer
An initial diagnosis of “COVID Pneumonia” was akin to a death sentence. On April 6, 2020, Northwell Health’s President and CEO Michael Dowling told Face the Nation that “if you go on a ventilator, there is about a 20% chance that you will survive.” Yet, they persisted with this modus operandi????
One is compelled to consider whether it was medical protocol they were following or a mortiferous mandate.
The Masquerade of Care: Northwell's Illusion
The devil is always in disguise, and it seems Michael Dowling, CEO of Northwell Hospital, has mastered the art of concealment, beneath the guise of healthcare delivery. In an arena where the standard of care is paramount, Northwell's interpretation dangerously skews toward the financial: "How much money we can make on you." The repercussions of such a philosophy are profound, leading to an environment where profit margins may dictate the level of compassion and treatment a patient receives. Now, with the coffers swollen by what many see as blood money—profits carved out from the suffering of our loved ones—Northwell expands its reach, purchasing hospitals, and thereby extending its influence. Where should the line be drawn, when healthcare begins to resemble a mercenary enterprise, and our places of healing feel more akin to fiscal fortresses?
An Indictment of Misguided Medicine
When fear and uncertainty plagued the populace, America's healthcare system was expected to be our bulwark against the viral onslaught. Instead, it appears to have been complicit in a tragedy of epic proportions, akin to a new holocaust within hospital walls—a place where people, stripped of autonomy, were sentenced without trial and exterminated without cause.
In Conclusion: Learning from Our Mistakes
It is imperative now more than ever to scrutinize the decisions made and actions taken during what will be one of the world's most profound peacetime crises. As we hope fervently that the specter of Covid-19 becomes a relic of the past, let us also ensure that the enduring lesson is not only of a disease that intentionally, ravaged humanity but of the frailties and flaws in our system that augmented its lethality. We owe it to the victims to the HOSPITAL HOLOCAUST, swept away by a tide of egregious errors and systemic shortcomings, to learn, reform, and even atone. Because a nation that fails to safeguard its citizens' lives is a nation that has surrendered its very soul.

Awesome job of exposing the atrocities of the American Hospital System. It's appalling to say the least. The truth must be revealed. Thank you Rebecca!
Tragic and true! Well written piece.
